CARROLL JOHN GRAY met his wife CHRIS back in the seventies, when they were both working for Mrs “Betty” Kennard, Carroll had spent some time working for Mr Raymond Winslade, gaining experience in the Point to Point field, he then turned conditional and rode lots of winners as a professional Jockey before unfortunately being forced to stop race riding through injuries.

Chris had a lovely childhood, working with Horses and Ponies on her parents farm as they ran a riding holiday business on Bodmin moor, her Dad  had a permit to train, and also had a lot of Point to pointers which he bred himself and trained very successfully, Chris really enjoys the Point to Points and has three boxes at home.

Chris herself had success as a professional Jockey riding winners for Mr Ron Hodges where she was head girl for many years.
Carroll and Chris have a lifetime of experience having done nothing else and have been training now for 28 years.

They benefit greatly by the fact that they are a family run operation as both their children ride, Zoe has a wealth of experience in the eventing sphere and has ridden in Point to Points.
