Gallops

The fabulous 5 Furlong Smocombe Gallop is a short hack away which provides a great warm up before the horses start their work on the gallop. The carpet fibre surface makes a fantastic all weather track

3 Bay Starting Stalls

We have a set of 3 bay starting stalls.

Schooling

We have lots of opportunities to school our horses over natural obstacles in the woods. There is a big outdoor arena in the village where we can do grid work over show jumps and work on plenty of flat work. At the yard we can loose school them in the indoor school.

Stables

Here at The Copse we have eight boxes plus three more at our home in Spaxton for Chris’s Point to Pointers.

Turn out paddocks

We have four individual paddocks for use when the horses are in work and a five acre field with lots of shelter to turn the horses away into in the summer.

Hacking

We are extremely lucky to be surrounded by the Quantock Hills which provide us with extensive hacking taking in all the hills and woodlands which the horses love.
